Mail Messages Sorted by Date Received

I normally keep my Inbox messages list sorted by date received with the newest messages at the top. That way I can quickly see my new messages. But sometimes it is handy to be able to sort your messages list by subject or sender or flagged.

It is very simple to sort your messages list by any column— just click on the column header of the column you want to sort. The header of the sorted column is blue and the others are white.

At the right edge of the sorted column (the blue header) is a black triangle. If the triangle is pointed up, the column is sorted in ascending order. If the triangle is pointed down, the column is sorted in descending order. Clicking the blue column header changes the direction of the triangle. For example, if you want to see your newest messages at the top of the list, click on the Date Received column until the black triangle is pointing down.
