Mac OS X comes with several Widgets and many more are available from Apple's website. To give you some inspiration on choosing Widgets, here are some of my favorites. If you aren't quite sure what the Dashboard is or how it works, learn all about it here. Radar in Motion This is by far my most used Widget. It displays real-time weather radar for your area. iCal Events Pulls upcoming events from your iCal calendars. Happy Birthdays Shows a list of upcoming birthdays (from your Address Book). In addition to showing the birthday date, this Widget also shows how many days until the upcoming birthday and the person's age on their birthday. Magic 8 Ball For when you need advice.
