.PDF files are a standard file format where the .pdf document always looks the same regardless of the computer it is viewed on, even Windows PCs. This makes .pfd files ideal for sharing documents.
If you are sharing a .pdf file, you might find it useful to annotate certain parts of the text.
Annotating PDF files is slightly different in Snow Leopard than Leopard. Leopard instructions are here:
Click the Annotate button on the top tool bar and a tiny tool bar appears at the bottom of the window. You select a tool from the bottom tool bar and add your annotations. The available tools are Arrow, Oval, Square, Text, Comment, Link, Highlight, Strikeout, and Underline. If you have used any type of drawing application, these tools will feel familiar to you. If not, they are easy to figure out.
Once you have made your annotations, make sure you save the .pdf document.
